On the 19th of April 2024, Danish-Chinese Business Forum successfully executed this year’s Annual General Meeting.

What key matters will define the future of EU-China relations? This was the theme explored when Danish-Chinese Business Forum recently held this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Tom Behrens-Sørensen, Chairperson of DCBF, together with Ed Lewin, VP of Government & Public Affairs at the LEGO Group welcomed the attendees at this year’s AGM, which as the iconic yellow color in the pictures may hint, was co-hosted by the LEGO Group at their new headquarter in Billund.

This year, the keynote speeches were provided Jeppe Tranholm-Mikkelsen, Permanent Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, and Mr. Qin Jie, Minister Counselor and Deputy Chief of the People's Republic of China to Denmark.

Our theme speakers, Jeppe Tranholm-Mikkelsen, and Mikko Huotari, Executive Director of Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS), provided insightful presentations on the EU-China economic relations, covering a variety of topics such as risk management, geopolitical dimensions, and technology competition – all impacting Danish companies operating in China.

Thank you to all the excellent speakers and a special thank you to the LEGO Group for hosting the AGM.
