Delegation visit from CIPA and the Provincial Government of Hunan

3 April 2012, Danish-Chinese Business Forum received a delegation from the Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce of China (CIPA) and the Provincial Government of Hunan.

At the meeting Deputy Director General Mr Yang Yihang of CIPA and Secretary General Mr Tom Jensen first discussed the overall situation of Investments between China and Denmark. Hereafter, the possibilities of cooperating in order to ease the process of doing investments in Denmark for Chinese companies and vice versa were discussed. Among these possibilities of cooperation was an exchange of knowledge regarding legislation and tax regulation in China and Denmark.

Hereafter Ms Zhang Shouping, Deputy Director of Investment Promotion Division in Hunan, introduced the province of Hunan, and together with Mr Yang Yihang and Mr Tom Jensen discussed the possibilities that lie there for Danish companies. Ms Shouping also presented the upcoming Central China Expo 2012.

The Central China Expo 2012 will be held on the 18 - 20 May 2012 in Changsha City in Hunan province.

The Central China Investment and Trade Exposition (referred to as “Central China Expo”), approved by the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, is co-sponsored by Ministry of Commerce, State Administration of Taxation, State Administration for Industry and Commerce, State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, National Tourism Administration, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China Federation of Industry and Commerce, China Federation of Industrial Economics and the six provincial people's governments of Shanxi, Anhui, Jiangxi, Henan, Hubei and Hunan.

The 7th Central China Expo will focus on industries such as new energy, new material, high technology, equipment manufacturing, modern coal chemical, new energy-conserving and environment-protective technology, modern agriculture, food extensive processing, and cultural tourism. The Expo will have activities such as match-making and project matching activities, exhibitions, networking, speeches and the like

The six provinces co-arranging the Expo wishes to use the event as a way to reform and open-up and thereby transform the economic path of development into a more sustainable and coordinated one.
