Ever-Closer Bonds Between Grundfos and EXPO Over the years, Grundfos has become ever more committed to EXPO activities. This commitment was recognised by the organisers of the 2008 EXPO in Zaragoza, where Grundfos received a gold medal for its long-term engagement and a special prize for the best company pavilion.
Grundfos Values Correspond with the EXPO Theme Says Niels Due Jensen, chairman of the Board at Grundfos: “Innovation is anchored in nearly all EXPO themes and is also of key importance for Grundfos. It is part of our core values: Be Responsible – Think Ahead – Innovate. The theme of the 2010 EXPO – Better City, Better Life – relates directly to our commitment to sustainability. When we think ahead, we all see that our current patterns of consumption are unsustainable. To face that responsibility, we must invent new ways of looking at things. The Shanghai EXPO will show many examples of this – and we are pleased to be part of it.”
Welfairytales: Visions for the Future For this EXPO, Grundfos has been chosen to be part of the Danish pavilion, taking our place alongside other prominent Danish companies. The theme of the Danish pavilion is “Welfairytales,” reflecting a commitment to combining visionary ideas with a concern for human growth, comfort, and happiness.
Sustainable Living Means Rethinking What We Do As part of the Danish pavilion, Grundfos points out possible ways of ensuring a sustainable future. Because sustainable living is not about abstinence - it is about seeing things in new ways. About rethinking habits. And about using the new potential offered by new technology.
As with all EXPO events, we look forward to meeting many others who share our passion for innovation. For sustainability and for exploring new horizons together.
