Corporate Social Responsibility

Member of Danish-Chinese Business Forum, Søren Albertsen, general manager of Crecea China, is one of the authors of the latest issue of “Corporate Social Responsibility” published by Børsen Ledelseshåndbøger.

In China, the concepts of equitable leadership and social responsibility have been known since they were introduced by Confucius (551 BC – 479 BC), which can be an advantage for foreign companies operating in China. This, however, does not mean that CSR reporting in China is not a major challenge.

The article states that when it comes to CSR, it is often right to regard “a small step in the right direction as better than no step at all.” Included is a short resume of the development of CSR as a business-driven initiative, suggestions for CSR report writing and an introduction to the CSR pyramid.
