DCBF Member’s Survey

On Monday 5 November we launched a DCBF Member’s Survey. The survey is an important tool for the secretariat in our constant effort to serve our members in the best way possible. Therefore your feedback will help us in our planning of future activities, meetings, and in the further development of our knowledge base. But the survey is also an opportunity for you to express your opinion about DCBF, the network provided and your level of satisfaction with your membership.

The survey has been developed in cooperation with Deloitte who will handle the electronic processing and the presentation of the results. This process reduces the workload gathering the answers, your workload filling out the survey and the workload in performing the analysis of the answers.

Please take the time to complete the survey. Your opinion is very important to us.

We are grateful to Deloitte who have very kindly offered us the use of their survey tool.

DCBF Home Page – New Look

As you will see, the DCBF Homepage has been improved and the same design is also used for this newsletter. We hope that you will like the new look. The work on the website will continue. By improving the general appearance and functionality we are hoping to attract even more visitors to our site.  There are currently 1500-2000 hits per month and we aim to increase this number by modernizing the home page and expanding the search words in the search machines.

We are also preparing to launch a new Chinese home page soon. The Chinese home page will be an abbreviated version of the English home page and we expect it to be launched during the first quarter of next year.

Chinese Delegations visiting Denmark and DCBF

DCBF has received three important delegations from China this autumn.

27 August - Qinghai Provincial Government
The Vice-Governor Mr. Ma Jiantang visited with a 9-person delegation. They met at DCBF’s offices and met with people from the Danish travel business (e.g. the Association of Danish Travel Agents and Tour Operators, first Travel) and representatives from the Copenhagen Climate Network.

11 September Zhejiang Province
The Governor Lu Zushan visited with his delegation and met at DCBFs offices with DCBF members within the areas of energy and environment (Vestas, COWI, Danfoss, Grundfos and Nordic Industrial Park). In addition Invest in Denmark gave a presentation in order to get companies from the Zhejiang province interested in using Denmark as a base for their activities in Northern Europe. The Chinese Ambassador also participated in this meeting.

13 September – Joint Commission with the Vice-Minister of Commerce, Yu Guangzhou
Plougmann & Vingtoft hosted this event and in addition to the Vice-Minister, the Chinese Ambassador Xie Hangsheng participated. The following DCBF member companies gave presentations (Foss, Vestas, Novozymes and Plougmann & Vingtoft). About 40 persons participated in the meeting. In this newsletter is an excerpt of Mr. Guangzhou’s speech to DCBF members and you may also read the full speech by clicking on the indicated link.

DCBF acts as a catalyst in connection with the planning of seminars held in Beijing in September 2007

DCBF has had a very fruitful cooperation with the Danish embassy in connection with the planning of two seminars that were held in Beijing in September. On 25 September 2007, a Seminar on the Scandinavian Model took place. It was opened by the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Helge Sander. The themes were Licensing of medico and pharma products as well as the Danish Reimbursement System. This was introduced by the Danish Medicine Agency and the Danish Ministry of Health. Further innovative products were introduced by ICE, Lundbeck, Novo Nordisk, Coloplast and Radiometer.

Contacts to the new administration were established. We are very grateful for the great support we received from the Danish Medicine Agency and the Danish Ministry of Health.

DCBF has also participated on the sidelines in connection with Helge Sander’s visit to Beijing where he procured a state-to-state agreement between Denmark and China.
